Playground Restoration & Expansion Project

At Bethel Academy, we believe every child deserves a safe, joyful place to play. Our current playground has served families for many years, but it now needs essential repairs and updates to remain safe and accessible for our community.
A recent professional assessment confirmed that the existing play structure must be repaired and restored before new equipment can be added. We are committed to keeping the current structure, cleaning it, repairing it, and bringing it back to life — while expanding the playground with new commercial‑grade equipment designed for children ages 2–12.
Our Goal
We are raising $40,000 to:
- Repair and restore the existing playground structure
- Add new play features: Silo Scramble, Hoopla 5-Section Activity, Tot Builders Truck, Friendly Fence, and Leaf Chairs
- Install safe, ADA-friendly surfacing and protective borders
- Create a clean, welcoming, free-to-the-public play space for local families
Why It Matters
A safe playground strengthens our neighborhood. It gives children a place to grow, explore, and build friendships. It gives families a place to gather. It supports the health, joy, and development of every child who visits.

Every child deserves a chance to play. The Bethel Sports Access Program is Bethel Academy’s commitment to making sure that financial hardship never keeps a child on the sidelines.
Through BSAP, Bethel Academy runs its own basketball camps for children ages 5–14 in the Prince William County and Northern Virginia area — offering professional coaching, skill development, teamwork, and the kind of mentorship that shapes young people both on and off the court. Our camps are staffed by dedicated coaches who invest in every athlete who walks through our doors.
